Audit Trail

The Audit Trail module within the Administration Portal provides comprehensive tracking of all user activities, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance across the platform. It serves as a key control mechanism, enabling Acquirers to monitor administrative actions, detect unauthorized activity, and maintain the integrity of system operations.

Every action performed within the Administration Portal is automatically recorded in a secure and tamper-proof activity log. The audit trail supports investigative and compliance needs by providing a clear history of changes made by users, helping to identify suspicious or unauthorized behavior in a timely manner.

The Audit Trail is available as a dedicated menu in the Administration Portal, offering an intuitive interface for administrators to review and search activity logs. The system includes filtering capabilities, allowing users to query records by User ID, User Name, Action Type, and Time Period to efficiently locate specific events or patterns.

Each log entry contains essential information to support forensic analysis and governance reporting, including:

  • Timestamp – The exact date and time the action was performed.

  • Action Type – Describes the specific activity, such as user role changes, merchant approvals, rule modifications, or transaction-related actions.

  • User ID and User Name – Identify the individual who performed the action.

  • Description – Provides additional context and details about the action taken.

By maintaining a detailed and searchable activity history, the Audit Trail module reinforces the platform’s security and compliance framework. It supports the enforcement of the four-eyes principle by documenting dual-approval processes and ensures that all actions are traceable and auditable according to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
